Prestatyn is a popular tourist resort on the North Wales coast a couple of miles east of Rhyl, the football team play on a pitch within a hundred yards of the seafront.
Turn off the A55 at St Asaph and take the A525 towards Rhyl.  At Rhuddlan take the road signed for Meliden and Prestatyn.  This road variously becomes Ffordd Talargoch, then Meliden Road and finally Gronant Road.  After seven or eight miles, at the junction with Prestatyn Road turn left into Marine Road.
After half a mile turn right into Bastion Road and then (second) right into Bastion Gardens.

  Prestatyn Town
 History & Honours

Records show that football has been played in Prestatyn since the early 1890's, with games being played on an undeveloped field on Marine Road . Other pitches around town were also utilized, but the club as we now know it only came into being when it settled at the old Bastion Road ground behind what is now the Central Beach Club.
For a time in the late 1940's the club adopted the name Chandypore FC when they operated in the Dyserth Area League, but quickly reverted to Prestatyn Town, and apart from dabbling with sponsors names (Prestatyn Town Nova in 1990) have remained so ever since. Success in these early days was in short supply, the only triumph of note being the North Wales Coast FA Junior Cup in 1928/9.
In the early 1970's the club lost its old ground, and after considering using a field in the centre of the Prestatyn Raceway, now occupied by Pontins, moved to their present Bastion Road headquarters, which has been steadily improved and modernised since.
In 1993, Town finished as runners up in the Clwyd League, and gained promotion to the Welsh Alliance League for the third time in their history. During the 1993/4 season, Town finished in eighth place, but won the Alves Cup for the first time, beating St Asaph in an exciting final at Connahs Quay.
The following season saw Town set up an incredible end-of-season run of 14 straight wins to finish just 4 points behind Champions Rhydymwyn. They also reached the semi-final of the Alves Cup, while the reserve side won the Clwyd League's Clwyd Cup. 1995/96: Saw Town chasing eventual Champions Denbigh Town all the way, and finishing the season again in second place, this time only 3 points behind. The completion of the new Clubhouse meant Town now had its own self contained base. 1998/99: Saw a split at the club, which led to the formation of Prestatyn Nova, and Town resigning from the Welsh Alliance League. The following season, under the leadership of Tony Thackeray and Gwyn Jones, Town completed a Clwyd League treble, and the reserves reached the final of the NWCFA Junior Cup, losing on penalties to Abergele.
The next season saw Town once again competing in the Welsh Alliance League, finishing seventh, and again winning the Alves Cup. The reserves also won the Clwyd League REM Jones Cup. 2001/2: Graham Hunter was appointed manager, and Tony Thackeray became Club Chairman. Town were runners up in the Alves Cup, and the reserves won the Clwyd League REM Jones Cup again. 2002/3 saw managerial changes with Paul Thomas and Jamie Ainsworth appointed joint managers. 2003/4:
Once more saw changes with Jim Hackett and Steve Jones taking charge, and finishing the season again in third place, just missing out on promotion to the Cymru Alliance League. 2004/05 : Under the management team of Martyn Jones and Lenny Dunster, was a season of mixed fortunes, with a disappointing start to the season leaving the team with too much to do to catch the top places and gain promotion. Town eventually finished 6th in the League, but managed to get to the final of the North Wales Coast FA Challenge Cup for the first time. The final, played at Llandudno Town , was against Welsh Premier League opponents, Bangor City , who won the tie 3 – 0. Town were certainly not overwhelmed by their lofty opponents, and but for some poor finishing, could have made the final score-line a lot closer. 2005/06 : Under the new Chairmanship of Stephen Jones, Town appointed Dave Fuller as Player/Manager and retained Martyn Jones as Assistant. The Club looked forward to the season with new hope, and a 5 year plan to attain Welsh Premier League status.
A policy to concentrate on the league title paid off with the team winning the Welsh Alliance League Championship for the first time in their history, and in doing so secured promotion to the Cymru Alliance League. The team completed the league season without suffering defeat, and nine points clear of second place Denbigh Town . The season saw a financially rewarding run in the Welsh Cup, eventually ending in the 4 th Round, with defeat by Welsh Premier outfit Carmarthen Town by the odd goal in three. The season also saw the Reserves, under Manager Sean Pritchard, finish a strong 3 rd in the Clwyd Premier League, and winners of the Presidents Cup, beating Llandyrnog United Reserves 5-2 in the final at Halkyn.
Off the field the new Clubhouse was completed providing additional facilities for home and away supporters, and work continued on up-grading the ground to comply with the higher league's requirements.
Under the management of Neil Gibson, Prestatyn were champions of the CA in 2008 and replaced relegated Llangefni in the WP for the firs time in their history.
